Meeting called to order 7:05 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance. Opening Prayer by Thomas Lawford.
A Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to Linda Horning from the Idaho Republican Party.
Carl Hulquist was honored for his work on the Domestic Violence Bill.
Purpose of meeting: Choose officers for the next 2 years and to pick delegates for the upcoming Republican Convention. Only Precinct Committee people present may vote.
Latah County Republican Chairman: Frank Dammarell nominated Barrett Schroeder. Second. Tom Anderson moved nomination closed. Barrett will continue as Chairman.
Vice Chairman: Carl Hulquist nominated Tom Anderson, Frank Dammarell nominated Gerald Weitz. Nom. closed. Tom Anderson was elected Vice Chairman.
Secretary: Roger Falen nominated Mary Steed. Nom. closed. Mary elected Secretary.
Treasurer: Gary Schroeder/Don Meyer nominated Jeff Harkins. Nom. Closed. Jeff elected Treasurer.
State Committee Man: Pat Dammarell nominated Don Meyer. Madeline McComas nominated Thomas Lawford. Nom. Closed. Thomas Lawford elected Com. Man.
State Committee Woman: Gary Schroeder nominated Madeline McComas. Don Meyer nominated Pat Dammarell. Madeline McComas elected Com. Woman.
Precinct Representative: Tom Anderson nominated Shelley McGuire. Shelley elected Precinct Rep.
State Committee Youth Person: David Klingenberg elected.
Meeting turned over to Roger Falen for the 3 Legislative District 6 positions.
District 6 Chair: Barrett Schroeder nominated Roger Falen. Roger elected.
Vice-Chair: Tom Anderson nominated Carl Hulquist. Carl elected.
Secretary/Treasurer: Frank Dammarell nominated Mary Steed. Mary elected.
Delegates for State Convention: We have 10 spots with 2 alternates. . Committees – David Klingenberg & Gerald Weitz. Platform – Madeline McComas. Resolutions – Thomas Lawford. Rules – Roger Falen.
Latah County sending: Don Meyer, Thomas Lawford, Walter Steed, Frank Dammarell, Pat Dammarell, Madeline McComas, Barrett Schroeder. District 6 sending: Roger Falen, Gerry Weitz, David Klingenberg. Mary Steed and Carl Hulquist are the 2 alternates.
Bill Goesling was appointed as Precinct Committee Person for Precinct 7.
