-MEETING CALLED TO ORDER 7:05PM
A quorum was present.

-REVIEW PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES

$535 (monies collected from Summer BBQ)

-REVIEW OF RECENT COUNTY EVENTS
60+ people attended the Jim Risch fund raiser at Steeds home
40+ people attended the Sheriff Wayne Rausch event
30+ people attended the Bill Sali lunch hosted at Tenney's home

-LATAH COUNTY FAIR DISCUSSION
The fair is September 11th-14th
2008 Theme "Fun for the whole herd"
We plan to take and give free pictures on a "rocking elephant"
Fair Set up Wednesday the 10th at 10am
Rusty to find carpet
Tom Anderson to make 2x2 frame for a backdrop

Mike Sharp moved that we authorize $500.00 in decoration expenses for the Fair booth and subsequent Campaign headquarters.

-CAMPAIGN HQ DISCUSSION.
Several locations are still under consideration:
East side Market place: Dad's Diner location
East side Market place: Cramer's Home Furnishings
East side Market place: Hog Haven
Martins Auto & Tire
Main Street Pita Pit
Exxon Station on the corner of 3rd and Jackson

Don Meyer moved that we spend a maximum of $2000.00 on six weeks rent for the GOP HQ location. Amended to have executive committee make final
location depending upon availability and cost.

-MCCAIN ACCEPTANCE SPEECH AT KENWORTHY THEATER
Thursday September 4th from 5:00pm – 8:00pm McCain to speak approx 7:00pm.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come to the Kenworthy to watch as a group.

-OPEN PRECINCT
Andrea Barnes from Precinct #5 has moved to Arizona, and thus needed to resign her position.
