Meeting called to order 7:04 p.m.
After a motion by Tom Anderson and 2nd the minutes of last meeting were approved.
The 2007 Christmas party hosted by Madeline McComas was very successful.
Treasurer: Jeff Harkins gave a year-end financial report dated December 20, 2007. We have a cash balance of $2,632.47 with an additional $520 from the Christmas mailer. As there were no unreported expenses or contributions mentioned Jeff will file this report with the State.
The Executive Committee will soon audit the records, being complete before May 2008.
The Lincoln Day Banquet will be Saturday February 16th at the Moose Lodge. Social hour begins 6 p.m. and dinner 7 p.m. Tom Anderson has been working with the Moose. They will set up tables with white tablecloths and chairs. The dinner will be Baron of Beef with a cost to us (including tax & gratuity) of $18/plate. We will charge $30. The Moose will provide a wet bar for guests to purchase from. We are still looking for an auctioneer and need auction items. Tom A. will arrive approximately 4:15 p.m. and will need some help. Barrett Schroeder will pay for and mail invitations.
Jeff Harkins discussed briefly the U of I Livestock program and U of I health insurance issue.
There was discussion of the Presidential Race.
Tom Anderson moved meeting close with 2nd by Jeff Harkins. Meeting adjourned 9:02 p.m.
